Frequently asked questions

Is there a robber/bandit/bad guy?
  • Sometimes, the stagecoach does get held up by bandits. Please let the driver know if there is "fragile" cargo as the intent is never to traumatize our visitors.
Can the horses be petted?
  • Always ask the driver, but most likely yes. Our horses are very friendly and love people. We love to share them; however, sometimes they need to rest.
Can the horses have a treat (apple, carrot, etc.)?
  • Not while they are working. We do not want our horses to accidently nibble on someone looking for treats. We give them plenty of treats when they are off duty though.
Does the horse have a broken leg (lame)?
  • No, definitely not. You are probably looking at a resting horse. Horses commonly rest one of their back legs throughout the workday, just like people.
What kind of horses do you use?
  • Most of our horses are Percherons. This breed originates in France and has exceptional strength, endurance, and agility. The breed is well-known for pulling stagecoaches, moving heavy freight, farming, and riding.
